The President of the International Water Association (IWA) has confirmed to attend the Efficient 2019 conference.
Diane d’Arras has been twice elected as IWA President since October 2016, making her the first woman president of the world’s largest organization of water professionals. She has also served on the IWA board for seven years and contributed to international water sector in other capacities during her years-long engagement with the IWA.
Diane is a luminary in the water sector. A civil engineer for forty years, she has worked with renowned organizations including the French Public Water Authority (Seine Normandie), Lyonnaise des Eaux, Aguas Argentinas, and Degremont before joining the Suez Group. She retired from Suez Environment in 2017 as the Global VP for Professional Relations.
Speaking in October 2017 after her IWA re-election, Diane said, “IWA’s main role is to provide a platform for water professionals to share ideas, exchange knowledge and incubate new thinking.” Her presence at Efficient 2019 is a testament to the IWA’s commitment to the conference agenda, Water Efficiency – Driving Sustainable Development.
